How To Cook ?

Step 1: In a pressure cooker, add one cup of Millet Pongal Ready mix with 4 cups of water and add salt to taste.

Step 2: Pressure cook it on a medium flame for 4-5 whistles. When pressure releases, open the lid and stir well. It should be cooked well and soft.

Step 3: Heat a pan with 2 to 3 table spoon of ghee, saute a piece of finely chopped ginger, curry leaves and cashew nuts (until cashew turns golden brown).

Step 4: Pour the tempering over cooked pongal and give a good mix. Add more ghee if required . Serve it hot with coconut chutney and Sambar.
